About TypeForges

TypeForges was created by Andrew, an independent software builder based in British Columbia, Canada. After years of building web applications and working across a keyboard every day, Andrew noticed that most typing practice platforms were either built for children, cluttered with ads mid-lesson, or felt like they hadn't been updated since the early 2000s.

TypeForges was built to fill that gap: a clean, modern, adult-focused typing platform that takes the craft of keyboard fluency seriously.

TypeForges is an all-in-one typing practice platform for adults. It combines:

• Structured lessons — a progressive lesson path built around touch typing fundamentals, from home row basics to full keyboard fluency, with finger placement guides and real-time feedback on every keystroke.
• Adaptive weak-key drills — an intelligent drill system that identifies the specific keys you struggle with and generates targeted practice sequences to address them.
• Speed tests — a clean, distraction-free typing test mode with live WPM tracking, accuracy scoring, and a personal progress history so you can measure improvement over time.
• Competitive race mode — type against AI opponents at varying speed levels to build speed under pressure and track your race results.

All features are available without creating an account. Progress is saved locally in your browser, or synced to a free account if you choose to register.

Most people who type every day have never been formally taught to do it well. They hunt-and-peck their way through decades of work, leaving speed and accuracy on the table. TypeForges exists to change that — to give any adult, at any skill level, the tools to build genuine keyboard fluency through focused, well-designed practice.
